Free weights versus machines. This is one of the debates that have been going around amongst body builders on whether which is more effective and efficient when it comes to building muscle.
Only those experienced body builders who has been lifting weights for years know a little better.
The experience body builders will agree to one thing. Free weights are definitely better to muscle building in comparatively to machines.
Here’s why: Free weights will cause your body and muscles to build and work against resistance in a 3 dimensional environment. This means that when you work on a particular muscle group, you are working the muscles all around that area.
When it comes to machines, they normally only allow your body to build and work against resistance in either 1 or at the best 2 dimensional environment.
Not only not, working on free weights increases your strength which overall are used in your daily activities as everything you do and movement in your body requires strength from all 3 dimensions.
There are small skinny guys which load the bench press machine with 4 plates on the side but can’t even perform 2 plates on a free weight bench press. I almost guarantee that if you see someone performing a 4 plate per side on a free weight bench press, they are usually a large person.
However, they are advantages to using machines. Since machines focuses the work on muscles in a 1 or 2 dimensional environment, they can be used to be more focus on building up more muscle to a specific area. They are used by experienced body builders who know what they are doing to shape their muscles.
But overall, I strongly suggest that free weights to be used as the majority and priority exercises which are more important for beginners and intermediates whose aim is to build strength first.

So how do I go about building muscle mass? I’m going to get straight to the point. There is a very good building muscle mass program that I highly recommend to anyone who is serious about building muscle. At first I was a little worried that it was just another get bigger quick scam that you see everywhere on the internet. But as I kept reading I was truly amazed! This program focuses on how to gain muscle mass and gain it fast. The techniques Vince shows us are so unique and original, I promise you have never seen these work out routines before in your entire life!
Lets talk about some extraordinary techniques that his program uses. The first technique is called the explosive reps. Basically this work out method can get you HUGE in less then a month of doing it. Amazing isn’t it? Now I can’t go into detail on how its done, I don’t want to get in trouble! But I can honestly say that this has worked out for me for about 2 years, and I don’t regret using his program to building muscle mass. If you have been struggling to get larger or perhaps lose weight, you sounded like me about 2 years ago. His program changed my life and I now enjoy the freedom of being able to have a plan and a routine, instead of just grabbing some weights and wishing for the best.
Another really important thing I get asked a lot is, can females you this program? Yes! There is a specific program that’s just for females. My mom is actually involved in the program and she is doing very well with it. For example there is a technique for the women that blasts there abs into a six pack in a little under 3 weeks. Another awesome technique from Vince’s program! This program is for anybody who seeks to get in shape for just build huge muscles.

Bodyweight training is one of the best ways to burn fat and build muscle. Unfortunately, most people believe (or are led to believe) they need a room full of equipment or an expensive gym membership in order to improve their physique. They completely overlook the fat burning and muscle building potential of bodyweight exercise. I hope this article opens your eyes to the possibilities of using the gym you were born with!
Heads up: at the end of the article I’m going to share with you one exercise that simultaneously builds muscle and burns fat.
It’s happened to all of us at one point or another (even me). We look in the mirror one day and we notice we are softer and fatter. While we weren’t paying attention, our muscle tone and strength has decreased, and our waist size has increased. This is when most of say, “It’s time to hit the gym”.
But hold on a minute. I agree, it is time to do something about your physique. But joining a gym does not have to be the answer. As a matter of fact, you can start burning fat and building muscle today to improve your physique.
Let me show you how bodyweight training can improve your physique in as little 15 minutes a day…
Instead of joining a gym, that you may or may not end up going to, start by adding a bodyweight training program to your daily schedule. Come on, it is easy to find 15 minutes to exercise. And 15 minutes is all you need to do to start feeling and looking better. Obviously, I’d like to see you exercise even more, but let’s keep it simple at 15 minutes for now.
So, you wake up in the morning and do 15 minutes of bodyweight calisthenics. By the way, you’ll find this more invigorating than swilling down cups of coffee. Do this every day. Yes, every day, and you will see great results.
Now, I can hear some of you saying, “I thought you were only supposed to exercise every other day, or 3 times a week!”
This is true, if you are on a high volume bodybuilding program! Bodybuilders need that extra day to recover from the huge amount of training they perform. But you are only doing 15 minutes of bodyweight exercise. This leaves you 1,440 minutes to recover between bodyweight training sessions. This is more than enough.
Now, if you do this every day for a week, you do 1 hour and 45 minutes of exercise. Do you think 1 hour and 45 minutes will start to tighten your muscles and burn off extra fat? You bet it does!
Now, for the skeptics that think bodyweight training is too “easy”, or that you can’t get a great muscle building, fat burning workout in 15 minutes, I’m going to share an exercise with you. (Remember, I promised to do this at the beginning of the article.)
This exercise is called the Burpee-Chin Up Combo.
Here is how you do it…
Stand under a chin up bar with your feet shoulders width apart and arms at your sides. Bend your knees and squat down, placing your hands on the floor in front of you. Kick your feet back so you are in the up position of the push up. Perform a push up. Jump your feet forward under your body… then explode up and grab the bar with palms facing you. Perform a chin up. Drop down and repeat.
Do this for a few minutes and your whole body will feel it, from your muscles to your heart and lungs, and you burn a lot of fat. Try to do as many as you can for a full 15 minutes, and I guarantee you’ll have a new appreciation for bodyweight exercise.
I hope this article has opened you eyes to the fantastic possibilities of bodyweight training. If you need to strengthen and tone your muscles and burn fat, start changing your physique today with your own bodyweight. Make a consistent effort every day and you’ll soon meet your goals.

You are not inspired for gym today? Are you maybe getting tired of not seeing results from your workouts? Despite you try hard to follow exercise routine and diet it seems you don’t advance fast. Many people are facing this exact same problem while trying to build muscle tone, burn that extra fat and gain muscle. I had hard time to find fast, effective method to build muscle tone and gain muscle. Here is how I came to the solution.
Sure, I tried so many things; internet is filled with “ultimate, best, magical” solutions in various forms. I don’t know why but results from different systems, supplements and methods I purchased were just to slow and weak. I’m sure you also work hard at the gym and you want to see results, needless to ask, isn’t it? After 16 months I really got frustrated and this gave me strong drive to get out from that stagnation and pain fast.
In my intense search for the solution I came across the study which was done several years ago. It showed that one of the best ways to build muscle tone fast is to change the speed at which you lift the weights during your weight training session. To get maximum results, one should slow down the weight lifting movements they say and here is how they explained why.
By slowing the speed and rate at which you move a weight, you reduce the natural momentum of the weight training movement which stimulates the muscles to work harder. In this way your muscles are forced to work more, you make faster gains in terms of building muscle tone and muscle mass. I tried implementing all I learned about this method and soon I found it really has strong impact on quality of my workouts. Soon I discovered that this type of weightlifting keep the heart rate up during weight training sessions which gives great cardiovascular benefits.
Quite few proponents of “slow resistance training” method for building muscle tone fast believe the cardiovascular benefits of this approach are superior to aerobic training. They also explain that this is one of the fastest ways to burn excess fat while building muscle tone and muscle mass. Well, I must admit there is a lot truth in this.
So how you can start with this super slow workout method?
You can use either free weights or machines, as you like. But, many experienced weight lifters emphasize that weight lifting machines are more time consuming and there is a need you master different safety features in order to work hard without getting injured. There are different levels but for the start best one is ten / four seconds one. It is suggested that you lift up the weight over the period of ten seconds and then lower it for a count of four seconds.
If your main goal is to build muscle tone best is you start with set of twelve repetitions for each exercise. Take care you have a full range of motion and good movement form. One good advice you may find very useful for maintaining good form, is that you lower the weight you normally use by about 20%. In that way you will be able to give your best. Watch for your breathing. Be sure to keep your breathing steady throughout each set.
When I switched to this “slow” method I finally started advancing. This method gave me great results in quite short time periods. But in few months I came to my first plateau level. I was so happy since my body really transformed so much but then I also started feeling there is something missing in my routines. I wanted to keep up with this advancement rate.
In order to make that happen I was forced to research more. Soon it became clear that I’m not the “only one” who is getting benefits of this method. There are experts who joined this and other methods together with proven principals and strategies all aimed at getting maximum build muscle tone results in shortest time possible.
Fortunately we live in this wonderful age of information’s where we can get to the things we want and need quite fast. Internet gives as power of knowledge and in my opinion it is just a question of learning to differentiate between genuine and false sources of knowledge which keeps us stagnating.

If you’re anything like I was a short while ago, “a skinny guy trying to build muscle mass”, then I have some important tips that could help you start seeing results instantly.
There are 3 key ingredients that you MUST HAVE in order to build muscle mass and quickly at that. And here they are:
Muscle Mass Ingredient #1 – More Protein
If you want to build muscle mass quickly then this is a “must”. Just remember, the only thing that can build muscle in your body is Protein. So if you’re not consuming enough protein it’s IMPOSSIBLE to build lean muscle mass and stack on the pounds.
In order to maintain your weight, you should be consuming 1 gram of protein for each pound of body weight. So if you’re a 150 lb. guy then in order to maintain your muscle mass at that weight you need to consume 150 grams of protein each day. And if you want to build muscle mass, you’re going to have to consume “more” protein, to not only maintain the muscles you have now but to build more.
So if you want to build muscle mass quickly and safely a general rule of thumb is to consume 1 – 2 grams of protein for each pound of body weight. So if you’re a 150lb. guy you’d want to consume at least 150 grams of protein upward to 300 grams of protein a day.
Muscle Mass Ingredient #2 – More Carbs
Despite what Dr. Atkins said, for all us skinny guys “Carbs are GOOD”. We need carbs as a source of energy. But you don’t want to consume just any ‘ol carbs. You want to consume a lot of complex carbs rather than simple carbs.
In other words, you still want to stay away from the sweets and simple sugars that are found in a lot of our junk food, and you want to consume more complex carbs like those found in whole wheat bread, brown rice, sweet potatoes, whole grain cereals, yams, spinach etc.
Why complex carbs? Because unlike simple carbs (sugars) it’s virtually impossible to turn complex carbs into fat – which means more energy to burn (work out with) and less fat to deal with in the end.
If you want to build muscle mass fast, ideally you’d want to consume 2 – 3 grams of carbs for each pound of bodyweight a day.
Muscle Mass Ingredient #3 – Heavy Weight Training
You cannot build muscle mass without “Heavy weight training”. Let’s just put it this way “the more stress (heavy weight) you put on your muscles, the more it will grow”. And it’s simply because when you put extreme stress on your muscle by lifting heavy weights, your body responds (builds more muscle) so that next time it won’t be as hard or strenuous on your body to lift the same weight.
Ideally, if you want to build muscle mass – lean muscle mass to be more specific, you’d want to lift weights that allow you to do 6-8 reps and no more.
Of course there’s a whole lot more to building muscle mass, but if you follow these 3 key ingredients you’ll be on the road to building lean muscle mass quickly and a whole lot easier than you ever thought possible. Good luck and grow “Massive”.

Building Muscles is easier said then done. Unless you have a stable program that your sticking to, Weight lifting can really become a pain in the butt. If your body building and are not getting results that you think you should be getting then your probably not doing something right. I see many body builders struggle to gain weight and muscle mass just because there not getting enough sleep at night. Sleep is the most important thing for body builders, because when you sleep you grow more. My buddy josh has been working out for about 3 months and he is as big as a truck! I asked him how he did it so fast. His answer was not shocking to say the least. He told me he stuck with a program and he gets plenty of sleep. Lets talk about other things that may improve your body building experience.
Don’t Get Discouraged!
Just because your not getting big over night doesn’t mean you wont be getting bigger in the future. So many people just quit after the first month because their not getting results. Everyones body is different so it will take either longer or shorter time for them to see results. Just stick with what your doing and if your still not seeing any results, It may be because the routines your doing are just not that great.
The Ultimate Workout
This is the best way to gain muscles, no lie. Put about 100 pounds on your weight bar and lift until you can’t lift anymore. Your arms will feel like jello but trust me, its worth it! And if you think you can’t lift it anymore keep lifting and lifting. The pain you feel is your muscles growing rapidly. Now once you have finished that get some good sleep and do this for about a month straight everyday. I promise you that you will see results!

Building muscles fast require that you do a few things properly. And it’s essential that you incorporate effective muscle building strategies if you are serious about building quality muscle. So, what I’m going to do is share with you the fastest way to build muscles.
The first thing you need to focus on is your training. You should train at least 3 times a week. Make sure you add compound lifts to your workouts. Compound lifts consist of squats, bench press, military press, and deadlifts.
Also, be sure to change up your workouts every 4 weeks. Changing your workouts will force your muscles to continue to grow. If you keep doing the same workout and same exercises over and over again, your muscles will get use to it and stop growing.
Another thing you should focus on when trying to build your muscles fast is nutrition. Make sure you eat alot of protein and carbs. You should eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight and 1.5 grams of carbs per pound of bodyweight.
An example would be if you weighed 180 pounds, you would intake 180 grams of protein and 270 grams of carbs.
Also, be sure to add these proteins to your meal plan: eggs, steak, beef, chicken, salmon, and cottage cheese. And for carbs, add these to your meal plan: pasta, brown rice, apples, oatmeal, and whole wheat bread.
The fastest way to build muscles also includes one more thing. It requires that you take supplements. The supplements you should consume are whey protein, creatine monohydrate, bcaa (branch chain amino acids), and vitamins. All of these supplements are safe and won’t cause you any harm.
To get the best results from the supplements, drink your whey protein with complex carbs (apple, oatmeal, or banana) about 1 hour before your workout. And drink another whey protein shake with simple carbs (gatorade, honey, a few pieces of white bread with jelly, or baked potato) immediately after your workout.
Also, after your workout, take your creatine and bcaa with your whey protein shake.
These muscle building tips are the fastest way to build muscles. Follow these tips and you’re guaranteed to notice a difference in your muscle mass.
